UnGoogling

November 8, 2008

I decided to break-up with Google.

have been posting at blogger.com for a while and using Google, and several of it’s products faithfully.

I noticed a few problems with conservative blogger.com blogs going down several months ago.  The explanation was that people with other-than-conservative views were reporting them for violations of TOS.  The blogs were eventually reinstated.

Donations to Obama and support for Obama came from the Google quarters.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt publicly supported Obama.  Schmidt has also been rumored to be a possible candidate for a cabinet level position under the next administration.

Several others from the Google team have been added to the transition team list.

What the main stream media has done over the course of this election process to sever any ties of trust with the viewer is bad enough.  The blatant support of Obama has had a huge effect on the election results.

In light of the support, both pre-election and post-election, from Google to Obama, I’m afraid that I’m dumping Google.

In the case that you don’t understand, I’m not an Obama voter.  I am a conservative Christian voter.  This has nothing to do with hate or race, but everything to do with my values.  Obama plainly does not carry the values of a conservative voter.

Now that we have the brief introduction over, thank you for reading!
